Gentle Farewells Rooted in Nature is a collaboration between a Kent flower farmer and an independent florist, uniting years of expertise and slow-grown flowers with thoughtful, nature-led design.
 

Working alongside Rebecca at Lilac & Lace, we offer natural tributes created with gentleness and grace. Our flowers begin in the soil of our Kentish growing plots, where seasonal stems are gathered by hand to form tributes created with calm, care and intention. We design with a deep respect for the land, ensuring every element can return softly to the ground, completing the natural circle from which it came.

We believe that in grief, flowers offer a language all their own - a moment of stillness, a breath of beauty, and a sense of connection.
 

Nature-Led Integrity: We work exclusively with 100% British grown flowers, either grown here on our flower farm or using other British growers. Our approach is rooted in ecological responsibility, using seasonal flowers, natural textures and fragrance to celebrate life in a way that is both meaningful and mindful.
 

Capturing a Character: We don't just provide flowers. We honour people - their stories, their memories, and their unique characters. Every arrangement is crafted to feel like a true reflection of the life it represents.

Typical Investment: For families dreaming of a full floral tribute, including a large casket spray and several smaller matching pieces for the service - most typically invest between £550 and £950.
 

Personalised and Bespoke Elements: We welcome the inclusion of personal details. We are happy to incorporate specific stems from a loved one’s own garden or add bespoke elements that represent their unique story. Due to the extra care and design time required, these custom additions are quoted individually following a gentle consultation.

A Collective Memory: One of the most meaningful ways we approach a Casket Spray is by designing it as a collection of individual tied bouquets. During the service, these appear as one single, abundant, and cohesive tribute. Afterward, they can be easily separated, allowing family and friends to take a   bouquet home, as a living, fragrant piece of your farewell to provide a sense of connection in the days that follow.

A Soft Return: In keeping with our philosophy, all our tributes are created using 100% biodegradable mechanics. This ensures that any elements not taken home can return softly to the ground, making our designs perfectly suited for natural burial settings, where respecting the integrity of the earth is paramount.
